A set of Snap On wrenches, offset box end style, that had metric on one end and SAE on the other.

What would you use that for?

i would say that 3/8 consider like 10 mm but too tight or won't fit but like 7/16 are same with 11mm which same thing with 1/2 for 13mm... same with 5/8 and 16mm...

Maybe snap on try make some techs to buy it to save space????

We have a couple sets of these at work with their red plastic storage tray. I've never seen them anywhere else. I thought they were a government purchase item. They can be handy working on a vehicle with both standard and metric fasteners. However, they are box wrenches and except for instances where clearance might be a problem, today's gearwrenches and air tools would be so much faster. The 15mm x 9/16 used to be a common GM lube wrench because their oil drain plugs were one of those two sizes. Now days though the 9/16 has changed to 13mm. The set would be neat for the diehard Snap on user and they're not that old judging from the script.

I've got a set of those. They come in handy for those cars that use BOTH types of bolts.... also useful when doing oil changes. Bought mine off the local Snappy tool man several years ago.

After matching the date stamp on the metric/sae wrench set with the posted date chart in another thread, the wrench set I have at work was made in 1993.
