You have fallen prey to Murphy's law of flat spaces, ie., use all available flat space, floors and benches to accumulate stuff. You need more shelves and pegboard to get all stuff light enough to lift and relocate to those vertical and flat storage areas. Rule #1: "get it all off the floor if possible"....see Jack's 12 guage garage as our example...a place for everything and everything in its' place.

Shelves man, shelves. If it ain't nailed down or drivable it goes up in the air off the floor. You have so much extra parts and stuff that putting shelves all up your walls would really help free up space. I have several gorilla racks stacked on top of each other. Gets me 9ft of shelving three feet wide. Really helps to get small parts up off the floor and work benches. I have a 11x16 shed out back that has many of my parts and stuff. That way the only thing in the shop is the cars, and tools and supplies. Helps keep things out from under your feet. You might be able to get away with a 5x10 or something like that attached to the side of the house.

well i use 1 specific brand for my water meth and the other one is for the other cars windshield fluid..

yess im getting there more and more shelves are going up as we speak... half the stuff remain on the floor because im unsure if its gonna get tossed or kept, other is just there temporarily and others need to be on shelves!!!!

i kind of want to keep the walls by the car empty just for more head room and what not. right now i want to add a cubby with divides above the air compressor to house the power tools for easy access/storage (stolen from other members)

thanks for all the comments

the silver kills it, stands out way too much and is distracting. thus im think im shying away from a chrome color... im a not 100% sure what color to paint the engine block and accessories.. im thinking of ceramic coating the housings white and the irons/acc. black. (both flat)

Maybe using it 3 years from now is fine if you have space and organization for it, but when its constantly being handled and in the way, toss it!

Man you have come along way on your garage. I can't believe you were even able to work in the garage before cleaning. Great job.

If no one else is going to say it I will. What is with the pink? Obviously its not my preference, but I would suggest you think a little harder about color choice before you get any farther. If it was picked cause no one else has it, there is probably a reason no one else has it. If it is the swweetest part of your car and would never change it please disregard my comments and just say I'm to old to understand.

thank you, it was veryyyyyyyy hard squeezing around the car when it wasnt cleaned..

as for the pink, it is because no one has it and because i think its awesome lol.. no real reason i do love it as its DEFINITELY a head turner. weather you hate it or love it, i guarantee you will take a double look

as i knew before hand and as many people have voiced to me, it is very much a love it or hate it preference, either way idc what people think, as long as they can appreciate the stuff done to the car.

the only think i HATE is when people bash my car solely because its "pink" but if it was the typical chrome they would be in love with it.. i think tahts lame...

I think the pink may be a good strategy for meeting women. I'm sure they will notice it. Then again, they may think you're gay.

haha no helly kitty exhaust tip. the car maybe flamboyant but the work IS done to back it up... so its not THAT gay..

i already have a gf so i dont need that. i could care less if people think im gay because i accented my car in pink.

i feel like this forum is mostly populated with older folks. i think as the generations have changed the car movement has as well. with a lot of the drift, and hellaflush movement car styling has changed a lot. especially in the import world. i dont expect everyone to like my car hell i dont even like my car 70% of the time.

not much of a real update... but i found these containers at the dollar store... i believe it was either 8 or 10 for a dollar... i didnt know what i would use them for but had a good feeling theyd be useful... as i took the car apart today they did indeed come in handy! the baskets also seen in some of my previous pictures were 3 for a dollar.. the dollar has some killer deals for storage items... just a heads up!

I have always had a soft spot for the RX7's. Have you had it on the dyno ?

I have to admit, I like my cars black. My gf wants to restore a 69 camaro and I have been trying to convince her to let me paint it pearl pink. I think it would look sick slammed on ********-*** lipped wheels.

Nice garage btw

Nice transformation, the 'garage' was a right mess before you sorted it out.
I like the idea for the spray booth. Good luck with the welding course.

Glad to see theres still a rotary in there. :) When I can manage another slot in the garage, there will definitely be an FD in there alongside the Exige.

Looks like you're well on your way to a proper transformation from a mess.

Nice work space!

Quick question tho, on the pic of your tools you have a holder for your extensions, where did you get that?

Also, the pink reminds me of Yashio Factory.

Nice garage btw
yes i have, but it was with the previous set up (99 spec twins) and a few less mods... it was about 376whp and like 300-330 tq... i managed to blow my motor after i just broke in my clutch but before i could dyno.......... lol im hoping to break 500whp @18-20psi but ive been disappointed before...

and thanks!

Glad you have gotten it cleaned up in there! Nice car too! My questions is how did you blow the engine?? It has to be a story worth telling!
ahhaha blowing the engine.. i wish i had a long great story to tell you like i was chasing down a skyline or something but unfortunately my story lacks anything but a good "youre and idiot" chuckle..

if youve seen my build thread (link in sig) you will know i do all my own work except tuning and engine building. with that being said, prior to this car i only knew how to change an exhaust, intake and pulleys, oh and change oil. Ive learned everything i know from this car... It was essentially a guinea pig.

I bought the car with the intension of throwing an lsx in it (yay i can hear all the american muscle guys cheering now) due to HORROR stories coming from my previous RX8 but lets not get into that... but after i pulled the motor i couldnt part with the rotary and just began gutting everything and "restoring" it. personally, i think i pick up on building things fast so just took my time and labeled EVERYTHING in ziplock bags. sooner or later i began remembering and now its a yearly routine (winter time)

fast forward to now i was powder coating and ceramic coating some parts. sand blasted the LIM and didnt properly clean out all the abrasive and then got in the engine, and caused the oil control ring to leak, which jammed the metal oil control ring sleeves which scored the iron plates which made them unusable. womp womp. yeah, i fcked up. BIG time. expensive lesson learned.

so maybe it is a kinda lol story due to the back story.. now im rambling......

Nice transformation, the 'garage' was a right mess before you sorted it out.
I like the idea for the spray booth. Good luck with the welding course.
thanks! yeah it is nice, it was meant to keep the dust from the sand blaster covering everything but i just found out about a dust trap and built one... now its a nice place to powder coat as well! thanks cant wait to start welding =)

Glad to see theres still a rotary in there. :) When I can manage another slot in the garage, there will definitely be an FD in there alongside the Exige.

Looks like you're well on your way to a proper transformation from a mess.
wow exige  LOVE IT. its my dream car (in reach) i would love a stable full of various FD's and a nice lotus to top it off:thumbup:

BTW - Bubbles....I looked through your work on the RX7. WOW. You've got some skills and have done a LOT on that car. Very cool.
thank you! i learned a lot from forums just like these!

Nice work on getting the garage organize. Looks like you have room for a shelf to the right of the TV.
thanks! yeah i was thinking about that but i dont want to make the tv feel enclosed... the shelves make it kind of distracting so im holding off and leaving that for a last resort

Nice work space!

Quick question tho, on the pic of your tools you have a holder for your extensions, where did you get that?

Also, the pink reminds me of Yashio Factory.
haha thanks, its actually a socket rail... ive actually replaced them with magnetic rails now, seems to work pretty well:thumbup:

nice space, its coming along good, love the rx7 too. Hate the pink, but that's just me. I don't really like the whole pink thing going on in the tuner world right now.
thank you, yeah the pink is a love hate... havent seen it really in the rx7 world and im quiet fond of the pink so why not!
