I have a weld pac 100 that keeps pushing the lead out ! It is fine for a little while then the wire slowly pushes the lead out of the welder. I think it isn't getting good contact so I squeeze the trigger a few times then stop and go check. Only to find the lead pushed out and a ball of wire crammed behind it. Any ideas why ?

Off the top of my head..
Liner could be kinked
Wire feed into the hose is misaligned to the point where its catching and birds nesting
Check to make sure the wire isnt trying to jump the rollers
You need to check the wire has a clear path from the spool to the contact tip.

Check the set screw. Check the ID against your wire size. But, if the liner is toast, get a new one. I have 2. One .025 for .023 wire and .035 for .030 and .035 wire.

Yes you can eyeball the liner but you'll need to pull it out of the lead first.

See Page 12 on the link to the operator manual below. Part# 8 in Figure 1 is the set screw for the gun. Loosen the set screw, then make sure the gun is pushed all the way in, then tighten the set screw.
