Built this welding table combo work bench. It's 40" x 60" stands 40" tall. 1" thick Blanchard ground plate top. The top was machined square so I can use it for a fence. 3x3 x 3/16 tubing frame. Two side cab toolboxes mounted underneath for storage. See if it's up to the garage journal specs... Don't mind the mess in the back ground this is a working farm shop.

Yup I'd say that it's on par with all the other welding tables that have been done and shown on here.

Very nicely done.

Thanks guys, it means a lot coming from the experts here. I'm sure there will be some things added or changed along the way. It is getting some diamond plate behind the clamps, it just hasn't been sheared yet.

I thought the only welding equipment in a farm shop was the red tombstone stick welder ;)

That is one nice table, what do you do to prevent rust?

Ah no red welder here only a blue one. The top has a couple coats of weld cote and it will see oil since it's also a work table.

Nice. That Blanchard ground top is almost too pretty to use! Don't weld near it :)

I envy your clamp selection. I don't have many of the large F clamps... I need more.

Very nice!

I want to build a similar table for my shop when I get it to the point of being a shop... The only things I want to do differently is put a grid of drilled and tapped holes so I can use mill clamps easily on it and I want to incorporate a hydraulic wheel setup so I can move it around if need be.

Holes are nice for clamping but **** for a general work table, **** falls on the floor to much. I do have 3 3/4 tapped holes that I will figure out a slotted sliding bessey clamp to use. I do like the inserta clamps someone had posted on another weld table build. If this was just a true weld table it would have a full pattern of holes.
