So a guy owed a guy some money and had a welder the other guy just wanted money these are friends of mine and my grandpa all ways taught me to have $100 bucks cash just in case some one needed to get rid of something good for cheap. Enter Lincoln electric sp 100 for $100 bucks it's an arc welder that uses flux core but I think it can be converted to gas

so here's why i think it can be gas shielded

inside that lift door, there's a diagram to show you how to switch the leads(in your 5th picture, with wing nuts) to set up for mig.

gun consumables are cheap too.

That's a nice machine for $100. Looks like the model that runs off regular 120V / 20A.

Gas can be used, there is a kit that you can buy. I think you need a different gun or change the tip of the existing gun.

I just saw an SP-100 for sale on CL with MIG setup and tank for $375, but that is likely over priced. You got a good deal though. :)

I only learned to stick weld and heliarc so I don't know much about that welder. I would bet if you wanted to get your 100 bucks back it would be no problem. After all it does say lincoln on the side of it. I know a lot of people prefer to mig, but I actually like stick welding and have never used a mig. Of course I welded cattle guards and pipe fence.

Where did you find a kit for $100? The cheapest I can find is $150. Got a link? I have the Weld Pak 100 & have been looking for a conversion.
