Good Afternoon
I'm brand new to this site seen a lot of good information here. I have a question about a Miller Goldstar 300SS welding machine. This machine is 3 phase can it be converted to single phase using the Haas-Kamp method?

Thanks in advance.

I have found this unit with the Tig Rig at a great price. The owner says it can be converted but i want to confirm it before i buy it.

The owner may be technically correct but it wont be a great price once it is done. He wants to sell it and being 3 ph its really scrap value.
Singles, 300 Synchs, 330 BP anywhere from 300 to 8 ready to go. I paid 100 for mine and tipped my Bud another 100 to fix it. Dont have a close pic. But no way,,, no how am I fussing around converting an ole monster like this,,, I can or could and don't. Wouldn't even haul it for free unless I was headed to the scrapyard.

For about the same money can buy a brandy new direct from China with new features and plug in the wall to a common outlet if you want to weld.
Or could toss good after bad and embark on a new career as an electric engineer and convert an old bus. I have a forklift, a technician, a 200A lug 5 ft from it, got it for near free, career welder, got it long time ago.
Guys on this forum got imported inverters,,, that's where its at for the typical guy here, find something goes in an 8 with 6/50. Sooooooooooo much easier, so much more friendly to use, move around. Idle for 5 cents an hour. Wide open 50 cents welding. Can use them with cords.
