welder problem

I have a sealey 250amp mig welder its about 20 years old . I was trying to use it today it was blowing fuses in the plug welds were not going smooth just blobs and the wire was trying to weld itself to the tip . I have changed the tip and gas cup . any ideas?

Did it develop the issue while using it, or was it put away working fine, and then stopped working when you tried to use it?

put away fine then played up when I tried ti use it

gas was on but I will check today that its coming out

just tried it gas is coming out ok . the welder seems to be working now its a waiting game to see if it plays up next time I use it

no just turned it on . I will se how it goes I have ordered a new liner . if it plays up again I will replace it .
