Has anyone experience with inverter welders ? I've just bought one from a Canadian co ( it's Chinese ) but has 1 yr warranty . It claims to have 220 amps out ( 240 v) in . I'll never weld more than 125 /130 I don't think , so hopefully it'll last ! I have an auto dark helmet coming & a spare darkening lens assy .
Just learning to replace batteries & or add external battery holders .
It's quite a change over from building electric guitars to cutting & welding & fabricating , but good fun !

Inverter welders are like transformer welders in one sense. Cheap ones don't weld as well as expensive ones. There are of course a lot of variables.

The 220 amp rating for that welder is likely measured in the same way that some advertisers claim for electric motor horsepower on certain air compressors.
