I recently picked up the Vulcan omnipro 220 from HF and would like to pick up a decent/convenient cart or cabinet. Which do you prefer, and are there any recommended?
I was considering a cabinet, due to the fact it'd be carrying mig and Tig supplies, but I also don't want the welder too far off the ground.
It'd mostly just be in my own garage.

The above is an awesome option. Paul makes a wonderful kit and there isn't one that looks as sweet.
How much space do you want your cart to take up?

Two comments.

First, I got my MIG and TIG welders so I can work on my automotive projects. Given my limited free time, the last thing I want to do is use that time to build more tools (like a cart). Your mileage may vary...

Second, I fail to see the benefit of the all-singing, all dancing SUV-sized carts that hold your MIG, TIG, and plasma cutter. Do you every REALLY need all of those machines at one time? Given the limited space in my shop, I have enough trouble maneuvering my smaller carts to where I need them, let alone something the size of a Suburban.

For my MIG, I got one of these small carts.

My new AlphaTIG is bigger and has more consumables and additional torches, so I went with the larger cart for that.

Also, be aware that HF's 20-25% off coupons have fine print that says they cannot be used on welders or welding carts.

I have that last cart from HF ^^^ for my tig. It's perfectly fine and you'd have a hard time beating its value.

I got a Harbor Freight cart for the Lincoln 140 Mig and bottle some years ago. I had the improve the axle a bit to stop the wheels wobbling but other than that it was perfectly fine.
You can hang a helmet on it and put a pair of gloves on the shelf but you will need to put your grinding and prep tools somewhere else. I could not come close to making it for the price.

It is sitting in the basement now looking like new since I went to the 230V machine

If you end you up getting the bent sheet metal type that bolts together like the HF above wire wheel all the joints before assembly. Bolt it together, then tack weld all the joints and hit the bare metal with spray paint. It will be much more stable and less rickety.

I have the big HF cabinet and the quality is excellent for the money. I keep my tig on it, 2 argon bottles, a small band saw, and all of my welding supplies inside. The small one is nice also, but I needed the storage more than the portability. Either is a great buy.

Ditto, I have the same cart and put my MIG on it. Hard to beat that value. It has worked well for me.

DIY is a good project, scratch & dent box with a frame built underneath.

I use the small HF CART for a tig/stick/plasma machine.
Lots of cables and foot pedal but i hang that stuff on the wall. I don't see the need to have everything onboard in a home garage.
The only thing the small cart needed was a handle to pull it, stolen from my old 7gal compressor.
