Soooo, the neighbors moved away, and I got to help clean out the garage. FIL had been a very good mechanic/machinist/all around talented guy. The SIL, not so much; preferred gardening and such and had almost no interest in tools.
Among some of the things I snagged are some acetylene tanks, a small torch, and a large Craftsman bandsaw. Ohh! Ohh!
Any idea where I can go to get a FAQ on intro to brazing (I doubt I'll be doing welding; the big set of tanks & O-A torch got away), what I've got, maybe somebody in NC or near Raleigh that can guide me on the tank regulations here? I've already got a small job for the other half, repairing a little metal basket.
Last I handled a simple acetylene torch was over 45 years ago, helping my uncle in his refrigeration business during a summer. Simple soldering & brazing. Want to develop some new skills.
Thanks!
Some pics: (more available, including the stamps on the cylinders - how do I decode them?)
