Welding Cable Question

I've got an ancient Cyber Tig 350 Amp machine and I would like some longer leads. Currently, I'm set up with 2/0 cables. That covers the amp range on the machined, but is overkill for most of what I'm doing. I could get away with #1 most of the time, probably even #2.

So here's my deal. I'd like to fab up some #1 extensions and connect to my 2/0 cables with Tweco type quick connects.

I'm guessing the #1 Tweco male/female do not connect to the 2/0 size connectors.

Will a 2/0 Tweco accept a #1 cable?

Thanks.

If you had a lathe you could turn some parts out of brass, a pin on one end to fit the #00 recess and then a pocket behind that for the #1/#2 cable to go in plus a small amount of clearance for the Cu to enter. Use "larger" setscrews to compress the copper strands. The last part would be insulation but some heavy walled heat glue-lined heat shrink would do the job. Cut out the setscrews at the end. Or just machine some delrin sleeves to press fit on the OD of the brass. If it adds another 1 to 1.5" then imo not a big deal for extension cables.
