First a welding cart I finished last weekend. I wanted a way to have all my welding stuff easily accessible. Also my last cart had small wheels that would get stuck on a bit of sawdust, so I fixed that.

And a blast cabinet my roommate helped out on, it is almost done. Should let me get all the parts for the project bike ('77 KZ650) cleaned up.

And maybe when the earthquake is over you could take some more pictures? :)

That looks like a nice, functional cart. The only thing I'd do is maybe round off the outside corner pieces above the casters, since it looks like it could catch an ankle if the wheel's in the right position.

At least your metal fab skills are better than your photography!! LOL - kidding! (kinda!)

Can you BBQ on it too? (I see Briquettes!)

A wood blast cab?

Absolutely! My dad (woodworker, car restorer, and tightwad) built one from plans he bought from TIP (now TPtools). He is still using it all these years later.

Nice welding cart, nice blast cabinet, but the picture size reminds me of what the bad guy (Scorpio) said to Dirty Harry in the original movie when Harry pulled his gun out, "My, that's a BIG one."

Earthquake, good one Jack Olsen!

That's a killer cart. Good job.

As for the blast cabinet, I am in the middle of building one myself using a 55 gallon drum. Is yours going to be siphon or pressurized?

It is siphon, seems to feed really well. I have found that with glass bead I don't have to run the vac constantly, nice as it lets me blast longer without the fatigue of listening to the drone next to me.

Anyone got recommendations for very dirty cast alluminum. I am using glass bead but some of this stuff takes a while.

Very nice welding cart. How hard is blasting media on the plywood? Do you have to sift out alot of sawdust when you recycle the media?
