I'm about to start making a cart to hold my TIG, MIG & plasma and wanted to see what others have done. I have some from other site, but I'm hesitant to post because I cannot give credit to the makers.

That is a very nice setup smooth72. I like how you have a place to everything you would need. I just have the factory running gear on my mm251 and synchrowave 180.

Yall my original cart the wheels broke off. If I had it to do over again I would forgo the original cart. The metal was much thinner that what I was using and I had alot of blow throughs.
Here is the welding part (My daughter and I), plus I had to weld up some of the window frame.

here is mine...kind of copied the Lincoln cart for starters and went off on my own since I wanted to have the plasma on top, tank in the back sits only 1.5" from the floor to make it easy to put on/off the cart, back of the cart sits on 8" wheels to roll easily.

I don't see any water cooled torches ... that is something I always wanted to build. A cart with a Mig and a Tig that had a water cooler and a small distribution block. Keep everything compact!

I had an air cooled torch when I originally built this cart but since then I found the need to go water cooled. I had the coolmate4 sitting on a milk crate next to the cart for months and finally got tired of it. I cut the top off the cart and extended it so that I could put the cooler on the bottom shelf.

Here is the cheapie Harbor Freight cart my brother bought; yeah, its not that great but for $50, its not too bad! I don't think he could have bought all the hardware and raw steel, paint etc. and be able to make one at that price! The cost of steel these days, really makes you think twice about fabbing something; unless, you already have steel laying around! I really like the carts you guys have made; if you make it yourself you can "build to suit" and do what fulfills your want/needs! Nice carts guys!

I have that same cart.....its not bad I picked it up for $50 plus %10 off & $5 off. Not a horrible cart. Not the best but its pretty sturdy and it fits what I need.

Smooth, thats one nice setup! Nice work What model Lincoln, is that a 180 I cant see the picon my phone all that well?

I don't know for sure; it is badged as a Craftsman but I believe their OEM is Lincoln! Originally it was a $500-$600 retail priced unit, my brother bought it in a factory sealed box at one of those traveling truck tool sale events that came through our area... it has been discontinued now but I'm sure some sharp eyed Lincoln expert can tell us which one it is!

That blue HF cart dosent look bad at all for 40 bucks after a %20 coupon. I could'nt make that for $40. When is the next %20 coupon coming out. The last one expired yesterday.

This is an old tool cart I used as my welding cart. Painted it up and added the rear "shelf" to hold my gas cylinder. Looks better in person than in my bad pics.

I have the exact cart. I got it for free when a buddy's dad closed his shop. The tank fit perfect on there and it has the strap for it too.

I have done it a couple of ways over the past years

first I had my miller arc welder on a wheeled base made of angle iron with arms comming up to hold the leads.
first this was to put the MIG on top of the arc and I was done.

when I had to take the MIG portable I would place it on a creeper to roll it round during use.

when it got to be too much of a pain to push the weight of the arc welder around (as I was not longer using it) I got one of the Cman homeowner bottom boxes and put it on that. I had the short bottle so it went on the top in a bracket to hold it.
this was a great option as I kept all the suplies as well as the clamps and all in the drawers.
the spare tongs for the spot welder also went in one of the drawers.

currently I have the MIG on a shelf under the welding table

eventually when I get a TIG I will want to either put the TIG on the shelf under the welding table or I will go back to the stacked arangement with the MIG on top of the TIG.

the plasma mounts to the wall behind the welding table and can be easily removed to go portable

Yeah, I knew I got a real deal when I found this. I had been looking for a good welding cart for years. The one I had before was a harbor freight that I had reinforced but was still not comfortable with.

finally found a pic of my cheap HF cart. Nothing fancy but it keeps my 140 off the ground. When I get some spare time I think i might make a cart similar to smooths.

170CF. Its a long story but, I called my local praxair to get a 40cf owner bottle....The ******* the phone gave me a price and told me to come on over. So i drove over, turns out she didn't have a 40, but she told me she had a 60 and she would sell me it for the same price. I thought cool! paid, loaded it in the truck and drove home....got home hooked it up and cracked open the regulator....and nothing... she sold me an empty bottle! Went back to praxair...she was sorry but told me that was also the last 60cf they had & the next size bottle of C25 they had was this (and she would give it to me for the same price again)..so I walked out of the store for $115 for a 170CF of C25.
Praxair made me a happy customer that day!

Very cool! Mine's a 125CF...don't have it hooked up in the pics I posted earlier...but I could tell yours was bigger. That thing is huge!

I also have the HF welding cart. It is replacing my old furniture moving dolly with some 2x4s screwed onto it for stabilizing the cylinder.

Yes, I am a lazy fawker sometimes...

MM175 on a bottom rollaway my BIL was going to circular file. The black bracket holding the bottle is part of a Tuffy speaker box...

It is handy, though...Spare tips, pliers, small rolls of flux core and such in the drawers.
