Thought I would post a couple pictures of the welding/cutting table that I just finished. Now I kind of hate to get it dirty!
I build rat rods and most of the stuff I weld is small stuff and the garage is small. So I build as compact as possible.

Very well planned and nicely executed. I am going to take your glove hanger idea for my shop rather than pinning them to my sleeves.

That is really awesome, plus the fact its mobile so you can move it to where your working. I cant tell from the pic (bad eyes) but what welder is that?

I'm not sure which you are talking about but built into the table is Miller plasma cutter. If your talking about the welder in the background I'm not sure of the make but it works great I used it for years until I got the Lincoln 210 mp a couple weeks ago.
Yes being mobile is nice. I found its easy to sit on a stool at the end of the table and push the table away from you as your welding to stay comfortable.

That makes sense, thats why I didnt recognize the model. Never gave a plasma cutter a thought, just assumed it was a welder. Nontheless that is still a sweet setup.

Thanks for the comments. After looking at many welding tables on the net I notice the grinders hanging on tables always look messy and in the way with no good way to store. You cant see it very well but there is retractable cord mounted between the legs of the stand. The cord runs through the front leg to front of table. This was so I could shorten the cords on the grinders into pigtails. I just mention this because its a small feature that seems to be working out well. I'm sorry pic came out so big I don't know how to reduce the size!

Very cool!

I like the grinder pigtail idea. I use several grinders because im lazy and hate to change and I'm always dealing with a mess of cords.

Got to use the welding table over the weekend. Made some radiator brackets.

After one good project using my Rage2 Chop Saw I can see a need for a table like that even if just for using the saw... Lot's of good ideas there. Thanks for the post.

Yeah, these saws work great but I found it leaves a lot of saw dust on the table impeding the use of the backstop adjustment. So I made a removable mount for a mini VAC which I've been using quite often. Much better than just blowing it off the table with the air hose which I had originally intended.

Awesome table. Pull the plasma cutter out of the table and put a storage cabinet for welding consumables in it's place. The plasma cutter will thank you. My garage is 14x20 (tiny for my uses) and I put my welding machine under the weld table. I was cleaning my machine out ALOT and having constant issues with the machine. I built a separate cart for the weld machine and keep it a decent distance from the table while working. Much better, worth the additional space taken up by the machine cart.

Thanks, That is a cabinet above the plasma cutter so it is covered on the inside but making an door over the plasma cutter probably would be a good idea to protect the front of it.

That's a very cool set up. And another vote here for sealing up the cutter area. It's amazing has quickly all that abrasive dust can foul out the electrics on any electric equipment.
