Day in and day out my family is supported by my fiber metal pipe liner. Switch out to a decent gold lens and start welding. Most comfortable hood I've worn and nothing to go wrong.

I asked the very question on quite a few different sites. The FibreMetal Pipeliner is one of the most common responses. So, thats what I went with.

ArcOne Tradesman auto darkening lens ($48 from amazon warehousedeals)
I had to shave the slot to fit the ArcOne lens in.

I havnt tigged with the 50$ HF but when my good one took a dump I finally opened the box,,, I like it better.
