I bought a set of reels 4 years ago that came with a lifetime warranty. I recently started to have problems with the ground insulator melting and not getting good contact. I thought that I would give them a call and get new insulators. That is where I encountered a problem. The company has been recently bought out and the design changed. No longer do they make those insulators. I know that most companies when they change owners they no longer honor the original warrant. The gentleman was trying to honor the old company's warranty. He offered to send me a whole new set of reels for 100 bucks and free shipping.
I know that many who read this will say that he did get a 100 bucks for the reels. Yes, you are correct he did and that probably did more than cover the cost of the material and labor. To me it is good integrity and a company that I would do business with in the future.
By the way the reels are made in the US in Arizona.
If interested take a look.
