you can do ALOT with a 110v welder, i routinely welded 3/16" material with mine for 20yrs before buying a bigger welder and never had a weld failure. run .030 max wire, turn the gas down and run slower, overlapping welds to make up for the smaller diameter wire.[/QUOTE]
When you say "turn the gas down" how low are we talking? If I go too low won't I start getting porosity in the welds?
