Welding table, hydraulic vise mounting question

I'm finally getting my welding table project going!

It's 3x5, with a 1/2-inch thick steel top.
I have a big 93-pound Reed vise to go on one corner of it.

I recently picked up a Studebaker hydraulic vise that's pretty big.

I'd like some opinions:
It can't go on the table top, because that'll eat up too much space.
I could fab a bracket to mount it at a 90-degree angle to the top, off the side of the table. This would mount the vise horizontally, on it's side, with the jaw sliding side-to-side and the inserts (clamps) being oriented up/down.

Or, I could mount it to the leg, making the jaw slide up/down, with the clamping surface being horizontal (oriented side-to-side).

Or, would I probably not even use this. I'm trying to figure out if it's just a cool "toy" that wouldn't get much practical use.

I DO have a hydraulic shop press, too, so while I could use this as a press, I've already got that covered.

Thoughts?

Have you thought about making it a quick attack thing? I like the idea of having mounts that you can attack more then one thing too. I have seen some others that have them on this site. It would be nice conversation piece and a good back up if needed.

With the pedals (which are attached via hydraulic line, so they have to go with it), it tips the scales at close to 120 pounds.
No "quick mount" there! It's gonna take a man and a boy just to get it set up the first time.

I've got the big 93 pound reed, and a 4-inch jaw Columbian on another table. I SHOULD be done with vises, but this one was too cool to pass up. I'm just trying to meld "Cool" and "Function."

Build a vise stand. You can move it around with a hand truck, you do have one in the shop, don't you? I have four, one in each corner, or wherever I leave them. You can build the vise stand the same height as your welding table so you can **** it up if you need to use 'em together.
