This was posted on another forum, just never knew. I've never welded on them but I have used a cutting torch on tire rim Assembly's before. Guess I'm the lucky one's.

I only got into the first few seconds where he said "apply heat to an inflated tire assembly."

If you would of watched the whole video He gave instances of tire explosions that the tech had in fact removed the valve stem and deflated, another one the guy deflated then broke the bead and they still exploded!
