Welding with a Cut50

Thinking about picking one of these up.

The Ebay listings have "Welder" in the title, but that could be just be a search tag.

Can these be used as a low amp stick welder?

My gut says that is not feasible, and wouldn't be that useful if you could rig it up, but the though still lingers.

I suppose if you dialed back the air pressure you might be able to melt something together. This of course at the cost of destroying the damn thing......does that answer your question

My thoughts were more along the lines of attaching a different set of leads and a stinger for use with 3/32 and smaller electrodes.

I have no idea if that will actually work though.

It would likely overheat in a couple of minutes and not get much done. I have one and all it's good at is cutting shapes out of sheet metal.
