Over a year after we destroyed the old garage I am almost done messing with the new garage. All that is left is installing the radiant heat and adding a few more shelves and decorations.
What I started with, 12x24 with 7ft ceilings: As you can see I had more stuff outside then in!
to this, 28x30 with 10ft ceilings.
From there we had the building down 06 September long weekend. We waited for six weeks for the cement and another month for the contractors. When they didn't show, we decided to build it ourselves in the middle of December.
From there I had to wait until spring to pull wire for the electrical. During this process everything from the old garage was under three feet of snow in the back yard. It was a slow move into the new garage as things slowly melted out of the ice.
Next up was the insulation and OSB sheeting. I got lots of help from my brothers and dad.
and finally paint. By this time I was pretty sick of moving things from one side to the other. But in the end I think it turned out great. We are still working on the cabinets and getting the trim on. And cleaning up... I can't wait to start working on my Land Cruiser again!
