Wells bandsaw

I recently picked up a Wells 5M bandsaw at an estate sale (for $20) that someone bought and removed the legs. I'm trying to repaint and clean it up. I'm at the point of cleaning the gearbox. The (online) manual has a nice chapter on the lubricant but doesn't say what it is. I have'nt disassembled it yet. Is it anything special?
