Wen mighty stallion circular saw 2.5hp

Any one have more information on this?.. Is it any good? Assuming 2.5hp is strong... Is it heavy duty?... How would you rate vintage Wen?
It looks like its had minimal usage... Cost me $36. NZD ($24.USD).

Interesting. I have no useful info on that saw but I recently got a Wen "plastic" utility cart that was highly reviewed. The reviews were right as it's really a nice cart, well built, locks together nicely and good casters

Anyway I didn't realize the Wen name has been around very long.

My Dad had a Wen jigsaw from about then. Sorry to say I didn't like it at all, so bulky with all that metal. A little bulk will probably help with a circular saw though.
