Wen model 288 soldering gun

Can't find much info on this. Wondering if it was a dude or stud? Is paying $10 too much? It's like brand new, Cheers

I've never owned a Wen soldering gun (mine are Weller), but I think you did alright. The model 288 sold for ten bucks in 1960: https://books.google.com/books?id=x...onepage&q=wen model 288 soldering gun&f=false

I forgot to mention that the model 288 looks cool because of the long skinny tip -- good for getting into tight spaces (as the ad points out). Just keep the ends of the tip clean and free of oxide (where it screws in) or it won't work properly -- this is routine maintenance with any soldering gun.
