Careful with the drills, those are the types that dont stop for nothing, use with a light grip and when it grabs, let go so you dont break your wrists.

if the electric shock doesn't kill you first

Typical 110 will just zap ya, won't do any harm. Stupid as it sounds, and was, in high school electrical class we would stick paperclips in outlets then see who could hold on longest. Once you get over the initial gear of the tickle, you can hold then for a good amount of time...I don't recommend that practice obviously and was just one of many stupid things we did as kids

List those big taps on ebay, probably get over a hundred bucks apiece for them.

I might be interested in some of the Ridgid pipe dies depending on the sizes and what you want to get out of them. If you're interested in selling some of them shoot me a PM with sizes, condition, and prices.

Thanks,

Erik

I went to that same place a couple of weeks ago when they were holding the estate sale and were asking too much for most of the stuff there or was already picked over. I did end up buying a few things and got an OK deal on them, but looks like you made out like a bandit. I saw the auction but just couldn't make it up there before I had to go into work myself.

Out of curiosity, which Sears do you work at? Wolfchase?

The first picture, top left is an overrun clutch for a tractor PTO. they sell pretty well too. @$65 new.

Nice score on the taps. They'll bring some good money if you sell.

Let us know how the auction goes, stuff like that I would have split up, at least the big one. Quick look at completed auctions and seems like the dies sell for more than the taps.

No offense meant, just advice: terrible way to sell those on eBay.

Figure out what each one is and what they cost new. Sell each one individually, buy it now 30 days, for 20-30% of new price. Be patient, meaning relist a few times. Someone that NEEDS one will buy one for more than you'll get rushing them thru as an auction in a lot. Then you'll have the rest left as profit.

As you listed them, you'll maybe get a couple bargain hunters after them. I'll be surprised if you get 30 bucks. Advertising here may help a smidge though

I'm looking for a 1 59/64" 14 NF tap. (so just under 2") let me know if you have one.

By the way You ****! for $30 on this deal.

FWIW I've been watching for the tap I need on ebay for over a year so I've seen a lot of taps this size on ebay. I can get a brand new one for $200.00 - $300 depending on hss etc. Used is a whole new ballgame. Machine shops selling dull used taps generally sell them for $30.00 or so and they don't move real fast. When I see used taps tossed in a box with a bunch of other steel parts and tools I don't put a lot of value on them. When you buy a new one for $200.00 plus you tend to look after it and keep it in it's protective plastic bubble case it came in. Machine shops typically use them for multiple cuts for manufacturing a number of the same products until they need to replace them or resharpen them which is also expensive. Like sae wrenches, sae taps and dies are being replaced by metric all the time too.
