Friday i went to Rutledge. It is a very small town next to notheing but out side of town once a month they have a flea market. I allways wanted to go and i will be going back. Like allways i wasnt very preperd and my tool list needed up dated but i had a good time and got some tools. Their were alot of people with 1.00 boxes of wrenches and sockets. I got a cole drill that needs cleaned up for 10.00, 2 sets of open end wrenches one set is proto the other is craftsman from 3/8 to 3/4 for 10.00, a set of mac combs 11/16 to 1 1/4 for 50.00, about 20 diffrent wrenches, some 1/2 drive indstructo sockets and 4 pairs of gears that i think are for a quick change rear end very cheap that i may resell. Their i only saw one guy that had clean high end tools and i was going to stop back by after i had look around but it didnt happen. They will be open one more time this year in nov. If the weather Is ok i would like to go back then. Today i am going to up date my list. If you like flea markets i would highly recommend this one.

sounds like you did pretty good. were i not like 600 miles away i'd definitely check it out :)

edit: it must be one heck of a flea market, google maps assumes that's where you're trying to go when you type the city name into google maps ;)

The story goes, they use to sell dogs at the Rutledge Flea market, all kinds of dogs, mostly **** dogs and other hunting dogs, but all kinds would be sold or traded there.

The Humane Society complained and the state or someone made them stop the commerce in dogs. So then you could buy just about any dog collar you could think of. If it had a dog in it, the dog was free of charge.

Use to be able to buy a good variety of guns there too. But the last time I was there, which has been over twenty year, not many guns anymore.

I was at a flea Sunday. Lots of used tool dealers. Nothing well organized. Seems to me that if someone were to organize all the tools and be able to respond to a request they'd sell a lot more.

I watched a guy pick up a Craftsman combination wrench and right away said, "Four bucks?"

"Sure," was the response. I think the buyer was able to find what he wanted after picking for awhile. Don't you think that if the wrench was packaged and categorized that the seller could have gotten 2wice the money?

I assume it was a USA model.
