As a kid I never had the discipline to follow the calendar when a piece of chocolate was behind each door...I wouldn't stand a chance with one with Wera tools!

Looks like a nice selection of tools, as well (I'm impatient as well and looked at photos of what's inside). I won't list the contents so as to ruin it for anyone else! :)

I've never even heard of this before... a tool advent calender? Also, SOLD! Hey KC Tool put these up and I'll buy one with extreme prejudice.

I bet there'd be enough people here to make it worthwhile for GHT or KCToolCo. I'd be interested. Maybe in the past the cost has been a deterrent, but I would imagine the exchange rate being better now should help.

Edit: Even with the improved exchange rate it's still around $70.

I sent KCT_Jordan a PM about the possibility of carrying these for the upcoming season. We'll see what they say. I'd prefer to not have to try to figure out buying from Amazon.co.uk.

Apparently, the only way to get one this year is via a source like KC Tools. I messaged Wera North America and their president responded that they won't have them available this year but are going to try to get them up on Amazon the next holiday season.

I bought one two years ago and I can't remember exactly what I received but I was pleased. A joker wrench, bit driver pack and micro screwdrivers. Cool marketing gimmick.

And of course it never made it through the twelve days!

I guess that is one of the perks of living in Germany :)

I have this year's Adventskalender from Wera and I've had one the last 4 years as well.

This year I also ordered the Wiha one. Germany has 3 well known tool makers that make one each year. Wera, Wiha and KWB. I have yet to try the KWB.

You guys can easily check them out on Amazon.de and search for werkzeug adventskalender

Some of these are still available in stores, most stores that don't sell them open them all up and just sell them as sets.

I think the best thing in the Wera one is each year there is a bottle opener (Germans must drink beer and have a classy bottle opener) I will now have 4 different colored handles after this year.

I'm pretty sure last years one didn't have a bottle opener. I bought 4 last year as gifts for close colleagues and I think last years was basically just a mini pass through socket set with a few extra bits.

Yeah, you are right. Last years made a pretty neat little kit though. I think the 2 or 3 years before had them though. Once I open the 24th this year I'll post a picture of the 4 that I have.

Yeah, do that. Last years kits was pretty tidy. We had a guy graduate from our lab and the kit was his leaving gift to take overseas with him. Sounded like he used it from day 1 putting together stuff for his new apartment, so it was a good gift :)

Looks like the bottle opener is the KC Tools Tool of the Day if anyone wants one.
