I’ve been installing ovens today. I know that’s not very GJ, but such is life!

Once the oven is fixed in, you have to install the side trim which is held by two Torx head self tappers. Top one in is fine, but to access the bottom one you have to hold the oven door half open, and even then you can’t really get straight on the screw.

Would have really struggled without these ball ended Torx drivers I bought a while back.

I know ball ended drivers are common in hex, but not every manufacturer offers them in Torx. In some applications however, they are invaluable! You can use them at a similar angle to ball hex, but they work much better owing to the splines on Torx.

I’m quite a PB Swiss fan generally, but have to appreciate the quality of these Wera tools! Not the first I’ve bought, and doubt they will be the last. You don’t get ripped of on price either!

 I did not know ball end Torx's existed. I could use a set. Thanks for posting your experience and PB Swiss recommendations! I'll check them out.

Haven't tried the ball end torx. Thanks for the info. I just got their hex-plus L-keys recently. For about 1/2 year now, I've been using their hex-plus precision screwdrivers and they've been great.

Thanks for the recommendation. I can think of a couple common situations where I could use these. I will post the part number when I find it.

Nice that they worked -great addition. Would be nicer if some manufactures gave more thought to their designs.

^ Wow, that’s costly! I paid the equivalent of $28 for mine, and that includes British sales tax!

I guess the further they travel, the more you pay!

Can anyone chime in on the length of any of these brands? I bought the Bondhus Torx L keys, NOT the ball end type, and they're kinda short for my purposes. Thanks!
