Any one have this ratchet? How do you like it? Does it actually retain the bit? Because I have a Craftsman and the bit does not stay in it so when using it you have to worry about the bit falling off. Are there any other competitors and how do they compare/rank? Best price for one...?
TIA :)

Everyone on this site who's mentioned that little guy has had good things to say. I don't own one but I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything Wera if I needed something specific.

I prefer the Facom R.PEPB Bit Ratchet, I like the design and feel of it better. It is also a bit longer which I find helpful (and more comfortable).
The Wera bit ratchet is VERY small, like really really small.

The bit is securely attached to the ratchet, no chance of it falling out. This goes for both of the bit ratchets. Both are pretty much equally priced and both have 72 teeth, so it's pretty much a question of length.

I don't think you'll find any better bit ratchet than these two.
And before people start recommended SO. Both the Facom and Wera bit ratchet is much lower profile and a lot more compact than the SO equivalent.

Edit: Both are 60 teeth not 72. Me so stupid.

I believe the Wera is 60 teeth

Aren't they all Taiwan COO? The mac one is 72 teeth, made by PTP. I hear the Titan ones from autozone or advanced are nice for the $.

Wiha makes a 72 tooth.

Did you see this thread?

Thanks all for the tips and No I had not seen the thread thanks, very informative. I think I would like to get the Wera set that includes the bits all in one container. :)
Will let you know what I end up with!
Thanks again :)

I have a wera and I'm not to impressed by it. Sure it does it's job but for the price I wish it was 72 teeth. A coworker has the sunex ratchet and kit and it feels better and it was a little cheaper. I love wera screwdrivers but not the ratchet.

I agree about the price, I will have to check out Sunex. I also wonder if there is a Facom knockoff since Staley own them. I have the Facom 3/8 rotary ratchet and the Stanley knockoff. The search goes on, Thanks! :)

I have the sunex bit ratchet/set and have had good luck with it. I recently bought the 3 piece blue point kit with the straight handled ratchet and the 2 15 deg angled handles, one is angled towards the bit, the other angled away from it. The offset handles have come in handy in tight spaces.
