Wera Hex-Plus?

I have a line on some Wera Hex-Plus bits. I have the set of Hex-Plus screwdrivers, and I like the way they engage a fastener, but can anyone comment on how they stand up to more serious torque? Obviously the screwdrivers have held up well.

I think FACOM had some Hex-Plus tools, allen wrenches I believe. Don't know if they made bits in the profile, but the allen wrenches were supposed to safely allow 20% more applied torque.
Never could get ahold of any to actually use, though.

No one has any direct experience with Hex Plus type bits? Could they be the Flank-Drive of Allen wrenches, or make no difference whatsoever??

I don't have the Wera Hex-Plus bits, but I do have the Wera Hex-Plus L-keys. Which I'm thinking would be the same thing, but in an L-key instead of a bit. I love them. They really bite into the fastener. The steel used is very high quality, and you can put a lot of torque on them, and they don't bend or break. I've snapped Craftsman Industrial hex bits. But the Wera's take a lot of torque, and hold up well. If the hex-plus bits are as good as the hex-plus L-keys, I'd expected them to also be great. The L-keys have the hex-plus on the one end, and a standard wobble type hex on the other end.

Here's some pics of these:

Man, they sound great! Maybe I should take the plunge and get two sets - one SAE, one metric?

Cool. That's about what I wanted to hear! I use metric hex bits, T-handles, L-wrenches, etc., for 85% of every work day. So far the gold Snap-On ones are the only ones I've been truly impressed with...but based on the Wera hex screwdriver set I have, I decided I had to give these a try. I bought two sets of L-wrenches, one of which I'll keep whole and one of which will be cut up into short and long bit sockets. I have high hopes!

I actually use mine quite a bit, I guess I'll just keep replacing them on a regular basis.
