Looking for a decent set of precision screwdrivers......looking at Wera. Is there a difference in between German and Czech quality.

Looking at Wiha 95190 6 Piece Proturn Precision Slotted/Phillips Set made in Germany as seen here

http://www.ebay.com/itm/160993045671?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

Or the Czech made (but they say "German Engineered") Wera Kraftform Micro 2035/6 Slotted/Phillips Electronics Screwdriver Set/Rack as seen here

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110954459369&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

Racks/holders/colors make no difference to me. Since I cant buy stuff like this locally, I cant hold them in my hand or look at them. I've read good things about Wera on here and have seen mentions of both German and Czech COO but nothing about difference in quality between the two.

I do a little bit of computer and other small electronic repair when the need arises....nothing too crazy and not for everyday use but I'm tired of the generic sets Ive had in the past.....so I'm more than willing to spend $25.00 for a decent starter set rather than $10 for a pile of junk that twists on the first tight screw.

I can't speak for the precision drivers, but for the others there is a huge difference in quality. My cheap, german made kraftforms have been flawless. My czech torx have soft tips. The czech chisledrivers I tried, I could twist the tips on a little #10 screw. Even Menards Masterforce are higher quality than the czech made weras.

I haven't tried any Wihas, but they can't be worse than the czech weras.

I have the Wera Kraftform Micro; in slotted, torx and phillips... they have been excellent and I have not broken a tip yet. These are older German made versions and the tips fit well and they are very durable. I cannot speak for the newer Czech coo but my older version are very, very good! I bought them to work on laptops; in particular the torx, which usually have loc tite on them and the combination of the excellent metal, tip design and ergonomic grips... really help with the removal of these screws in this particular application. I had other brands but the tips didn't fit the fasteners as well and the handles were such, that I couldn't grip them, get enough torque to break the loc tite seal on the screws. I recommend them whole heartidly but I again, don't know if the quality has gone down now that they are made in the Czech Republic.
