Wera Rapidaptor alternative?

I've been a big fan of Wera's Rapidaptor's for years, but I've had two fail now without excessive use. The symptom is the bit doesn't eject with one hand on the sleeve, and the c-clip has to be held while the sleeve is manipulated.

Anyhow, any suggestions for a similar device that has mechanical as well as magnetic retainment? The vessel impact-ball torsion looks interesting, but it doesn't have the eject function. Thanks.

It seems the eject function is of most importance to you so options are a little limited. Milwaukee has a similar system. For me holding the bit tight with no play is more important so I like the Wiha Centrofix. I have the Rapidapter ones and its sleek but I just wish they had a spring loaded locking collar that combined with bb's on multiple corners or flats to take out the play. The Hazet is also good but isn't one handed changes like Wera. I'd check Milwaukee's new one.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to order the Milwaukee and the Vessel. The eject function of the Wera is great for small tapered bits with muddy or greasy fingers. I guess I'll give the warranty a try.

Also the Hercules brand from HF has that function. I think Hercules is a HF in house brand, as I'm not Merican.

A couple updates. The Wera lifetime warranty does not apply to adapters, they are considered consumables. The Vessel has a very strong internal wire c-clip so excellent retention, but it is very difficult to get short bits out with greasy fingers, especially phillips and similar. The Milwaukee looks promising. It doesn't eject, but a one handed motion on the sleeve makes the bit easy to remove.
