Answer: NO

After my less than spectacular reveiw of my new Wera Lazertip screwdrivers

IMG_1411.jpg

I'm going to eat a little crow on these. On a few screws I was having some trouble with using my Snap-On drivers and having slightly damaged the screw I grabbed up a Wera and gave it a shot. Half the effort and incredible grip it made short work of getting the screws out. I've only use the #1,#2 Phillips and one blade but I'm impressed. They still seem a little on the :supergay: side but they got the screws out. I was very impressed and in the end removing and installing screws is what they are suppose to do. I think I'll buy a second set for the truck.

Hmm, may have to go with them.

Do you know if they still make the green and black ones with hex bolsters?

At current prices, the non-bolstered screwdrivers are $30 shipped. The bolstered screwdrivers linked by another member are nearly $70 shipped :shocking:.

Are the bolsters worth $40? In my opinion, NO.

For a Chiseldriver, I'm willing to bet you'll know where the extra money went. Even still, there are a lot of screwdriver sets out there that cost more, and give less. I love my Snap-on screwdrivers to death, but I'll admit they don't have that kind of value...

They still look like bumble bees though. :lol_hitti
