Wera Stainless Screwdriver Line

Besides cost, any downside to these for general use? May me able to score these in line with the standard Wera Kraftform pricing.

I would expect they're softer than their regular steel counterparts. They are made to be used on stainless fasteners.

I use Wera stainless steel screwdrivers daily, both the regular stainless steel as well as the insulated stainless steel.

Never had issue with them being soft in any way at all.

They are designed to be used on stainless fasteners in environments where rust would not be a good thing. IE food/beverage processing facilities. And I have used them there as well as all other general uses.

I mainly wanted them because I have had issues with rusted tools in my tool bags working in the humid Florida environment and rain.

They also seemed cool.

I have never had anything to say about Wera or the stainless line of tools they offer.

So, I would say order them and give them a try.

It will get scratched up vs. other setups during regular use and/or storage. I assume these are semi-polished or full polished like most stainless stuff. If it's got that finish it can accumulate scratches. The other "finish" (tool steel or cr-v) stuff doesn't really scratch (don't know the technical name of the finish but like the craftsman clear handles) usually have a coated tip if the finish is some sort of polished finish.

Havn't seen the Wera, but a guy I work with owns the Wiha! They look pretty good to me, and I can't see any wear on the tips yet!

Don't think that any of my stainless screwdrivers are scratched at all, to be honest.

The tips of them are in good condition given hot much use they have seen as well.

And yes, they are full polish, but not mirror finish.

Only downside I can think of would be that once used on regular steel fasteners, they're maybe a tiny bit less useful for their intended purpose: keeping oxidizing contaminants out of stainless fasteners. If you don't mind that (or you can remove the contaminants) then they should work reasonably well as general purpose screwdrivers.
