You're torn for good reason - they're both good sets.

I prefer the bit selection of the Vessel because I can't recall the last time I required a security-torx bit (but that doesn't make them a waste, I would just use them as spare Torx). However, I like the rapidaptor of the Wera set better than the magnetic Vessel bit holder.

I might choose the Vessel if you work on any equipment with JIS screws. The Vessel also seems more exotic to me - I've never seen that set before.

The correct answer is BOTH of them.

Can’t argue with the reasoning there!

Ahh, I want both but I shouldn’t buy both. Was leaning towards Vessel but that Wera is nice and compact and according to Amazon, a better deal at a 39% discount?

At a glance it looks like the Vessel is impact and the Wera isn't. Maybe I'm uninformed?

‘Impact Ball Torsion’ seems to elude that they would be. 62HRC hardness - I dont know how that compares to other impact bits.

I’ll be honest - I don’t see the point of these “impact” bits with the torsion zone.

If you’re using them by hand, you don’t need them.

If you’re using them in a torque controlled screwdriver, you don’t need them.

If you’re using them in a powered impact screwdriver, then allowing the bit to twist between the hex and the tip negates the effect of the impact driver. You need the tool to transmit those blows to the fastener with minimum twisting, not maximum!

On that basis I’d probably go for the Wera, but this side of the pond that set is about $23. When a tool travels further the price tends to creep up but the quality never does…!

$23?! Wow, that’s a really big difference. Amazon has them originally at $60.

Still torn. F$&@ it, I’ll probably just buy both. 😂

On the WERA set the gold color bits are considered the torsion bits, I am not sure what that means.
This is what I found on the Wera website: In the case of the BiTorsion tip, the hardness of the torsion zone is reduced by approximately 20% in relation to the rest of the tip, through a very precise process tempering. This torsion zone absorbs greater impacts. In the case of the BiTorsion bit holder, the integrated torsion spring absorbs lower loads.

Thanks I needed a Security Torx 15 bit yesterday to remove a Heat Exchanger cover, but couldn't find mine.

The gold colour actually signifies diamond coated. They are “bi torsion” as well, but most Wera bits are “bi torsion”!

In this set I assume they have included some diamond coated bits so that you can tell Phillips from Pozidriv quickly.

I just got Wera. Seems a bit pricey for what you get.

Bit adapter will be used in my Armstrong drivers.

Comparison pic attached:

1st Phillips bits come from SK/Pratt-Read/MasterForce locking driver. Not sure who the OEM for these are but they look really good. Good be Zephyr?

2nd set are Montana Brand.

3rd set is the Wera.

Vessel GO-SAI and ball driver bits.

Based on just visual inspection, Vessel seems most precise. Others don’t come close.

Next I think are those SK/Pratt-Read bits. They seem to be machined just a few blond ones better than the Wera with Wera at 3rd place.

Last, Montana. Kinda sloppy; note the tip of the R2 looks a bit bent.

SnapOn ACR bits from my Williams on 2nd pic. I don’t have many but they look really good too. Zephyr…
