I bought a Facom 1/4" flex head fine tooth based partially on the opinions of several on this forum (and price) that it was every bit as smooth (some said smoother) than a dual 80. I have no regrets. Is it smoother, too close to call but I did pay a lot less than I would have for a SO. Will it be as easy to warrenty as a SO if needed? We all know that answer (no) but the cash saved allowed me to get another tool. In the end I am happy with my purchase but can understand everyones stance with SO and warrenty.

When I suggested a showdown with the Facom and Dual80 it was based on brute strength. The Facom is smooth for sure but I think the only Facom that is as smooth would be the 1/4". brute strength wise I would pick the dual 80. Both good ratchets but I don't like the looks of the Facom. If you have to buy it you may as well like the way it looks

I agree, if it's your money spent ya have to like the performance and the look. My Facom is the knurled handle type which I like better than the comfort handle type. A brute strength test would be interesting, like you said both good ratchets.
