Hi everyone, I have just received my Wera tools and Zyklop Metal Push 1/4" ratchet is one of them. I noticed this particular ratchet wobbles too much to my liking and before I decide to return this item I would like to ask for your opinion/experience if this is a common issue on Wera Zyklop ratchets?

This second photo illustrates how far it wobbles.

You have 3 areas of tolerance that could give you trouble here

1) square drive
2) ratchet mechanism
3) socket broach

I'm not a big fan of ratchets that have too much slop, but just make sure to confirm which part it is you are dealing with. IIRC those Wera units are not serviceble by the end user so you are stuck with what you have. The socket broach of course being the exception.

Thanks for the suggestions. I finally found the issue and its the detent ball on the Zyklop 8003 that's undersize. I'm not sure Wera made it smaller than the detent holes on their sockets/adaptors :dunno:

Yep already did. Both Wera ratchets measures almost the same.

Zyklop 8003 - 6.31mm
Zyklop 8001 - 6.29mm (less play than 8003 due to its slightly bigger detent ball)

Edit:
Wera socket - 6.35mm
