I bought a 3/8" Zyklop ratchet a few weeks ago and just now checked the prices again. It looks like they've dropped even further, and are about the lowest I've ever seen them.

Sale Details via ToolGuyd

In any case, I'm relatively pleased with the Zyklop. It's not quite as superior to ordinary swivel ratchets as I thought it would be, but it's still a darn good quality ratchet.

Right now I'm debating if I should purchase a set or not. I also don't have the 1/4" version yet...

Other Zyklop owners please feel free to chime in - how do you like the ratchets?

I love the 1/4 set with the bits... Nice ratchet and great quality, I would recomend the sets to anyone who wants nice sockets and bits. The bit holders are top notch!!!! I don't use mine a lot, but when I want a swivel head I use them over my snap on as i like the quick release and locking head/handle better.

You're always good for a few teaser pictures! So, would you mind showing us some of the high lights are with respect to the set you have. :bounce:

Here are a few... I only got the metric sets as most of the stuff I use is metric and most things are going that way. I got the largest sets as I really like the quality of the bits and I did get a fet bit sets and the bit ratchet as well. I also have all 3 ratchets in factory boxes as spares.

How small is it? I was tempted to order one, but I already have a Gearwrench micro driver ratchet and Craftsman bit ratchet.

From the product pics I've seen, it's quite tiny. Decisions, decisions...

Can you take a picture with a socket just before its mated to the ratchet for me. Also, is this design like the Armstrong Eliminator set which allows a bolts thread to go through the socket?

Insight, please and thanks . . .

Did you get the whole bitratchet set? -how about a good picture of it in its case with bits for everyone, all the online images I've seen so far are really lacking, I wasn't sure what I was getting when I ordered mine. Hard to believe the scale of it all with it fitting in one of their "Kompact" cases.

What holds the bit in the hole on the ratchet? Magnet? Voodoo? I've been looking at getting one, but I can't discern it form the website.

Can you post a pic of a bit in the ratchet?

That will have to be when I get home.... I think it is a clip that holds the bit in, but I could be wrong. The top of the ratchet you can see the top of the bit, that is what keeps the depth so short.

Thanks. I'm baffled as to how the bit just doesn't slip throug the hole. If it is some sort of tension clip on the bit in the ratchet hole, how much force can you exert before it pushes through the back of the ratchet? I would think they thought of this, I just can't identify it.

There is a lip that catches the bit on the top from going through, it is round and covers a little bit of the outside edge all around the bit to keep in from going through.

The bits can`t be pushed through. There is only a small round hole in the ratchet head. The bit is hold by a metal clip.

I guess that was what I was trying to say the hole is smaller on top than the bit so it can't be pushed all the way through.

That is a normal 1/4 apex (USA) number 2 bit, to show how much goes into the handle and the clip that holds the ratchet together at the bottom also holds the bit in as well on the groves of the bit, where the cut out notches are in the middle of the bit above the number 2. Cheap lens on my old 20d so cut me some slack on the pictures.

Does the ring on top that looks like a finger spinner function as such?

I had been using a C-man 1/4 ratchet with those cheap multi colored 1/4->bit driver adapters that have the spinner, but they have no detent on the 1/4 square drive and go flying if you drop the ratchet!

I like the idea of a bit driver ratchet with a built in spinner if that's what it is.

Prices are still pretty darn low. I'm debating if I should round off my collection with a 1/4" and 1/2". No wonder I'm always broke!
