Ok now that I see it, I recant my statement. But as someone said, the thicker fork base makes it look WIDE.

I have the 3/8" and though it was a little short and have not really used it but after seeing that it is pretty close to the same size as the other ratchets i guess i will have to put up my composite harbor freight (lol) to break it back out and try it again. I do like the way it is made but don’t really understand the reason for the plastic below the handle.

Any updates on the people using the Zyklop?

Anyone successfully lube this thing? Not sure what the deal was but mine had black grease coming out of it... maybe it's the old lube? Any updates from the people who own one would be great.

The plastic is so you can use theit like a nut driver and the sleeve free spins so you can stabilize it while spinning it. If your not into the zyklops I would be interested In it.

Hmmm!

These things are growing on me!

I already have a roto head ratchet I use a lot, and I'm not sure how durable the Wera handles would be in my greasy and gritty workshop, but perhaps a great tool to leave on the car for emergencies!

Novel design though! I even quite like the orange one!

I have the 1/4 and 1/2, I like them very much. I don't like the free spinning sleeve on the handle shaft. Many times I try to turn the ratchet with that when it is in the driver position. I see no advantage to the sleeve.

I have had all Craftsman tools for over 20 years and just over a year ago I got the 1/4" zyklops wrench to try out and I have to say that it's a great wrench. I do all my own mechanic work on cars and I have restored an 86 T/A and for all the small fasteners I now use only the Wera wrench.

It really comes in handy working on interior panels when some of the screws are over 1" long and don't allow the ratcheting function but the sleeve helps hold the wrench in place while spinning it. I replace my son's car stereo just a few months ago and the only tool I had to use was this wrench instead of a combination of a wrench and socket driver.

As much as I love my 1/4" ratchet, I'm not willing to spend the money on the larger size wrenches. They are costly and for speed wrenching I have air tools.

I like my swivel head ratchet (I think it's a Kobalt) but I don't think I'd go for the Zyklop. I've looked at it a few times, seen some decent sales but it's not been cheap enough to change my own mind.

The handle is probably better for a screwdriver though, I can see that being a pita for a ratchet.

I think you can pinch hold them (two finger) without them slipping. Could be useful if you don't wear gloves and space is an issue. Not enough to get me to pay the asking price for one though. They make awesome tools no doubt.
