Were John force Mac tool boxes 96-97 well made?

My nephew is looking at a white 30” model. It’s a couple of hours away so I’m wondering if anyone know how well the John force Mac boxes were.

My wife got me a Bel Air box for out 20th anniversary 1995 it looked cool as hell, BUT when you pull the drawers out to
full extension they were flemsey as could be. That was empty. That type of box are for show not for serious work.
The price at that time was around $6500.

A Mac box should be good quality. But I wouldn't own anything with his name on it.

I saw one in a pawn shop with a broken lock, but full of tools. Pawn shop wanted $850 for the setup, no takers. Pawn shop owner retires and at the auction the most anybody would bid on it was $250 and no one would bid higher, that was what I bid on it. It did not meet reserve so no sell.
