They don't sell a plastic/rubber tape measure with the snap on name on it.

What you bought was an alltrade/powerbilt brand. (same ones that make "kawasaki" brand cheap tools)

http://www.alltradetools.com/catalog/5_snap-on

It very well may have not been "made" by Snap-on, but it was still licensed through them and is a "Snap-on" product.

Tons of Snap-on's products are not made by Snap-on.

Of the 6 tape measure's I found on Snap-on's site. 5 out of 6 are "Made In China". Four of the six are labeled Snap-on and 2 are Blue Point. The one that is USA made, is a Blue Point. All 4 Snap-on tapes are "Made in China".

So which one of those above is made of rubber and plastic? Or were you actually trying to agree with me in a strange way?

Only the one I bought at Northerntool is plastic and rubber.

I could not tell you if this tape measure gets sold on the truck or not, but it is not listed on the Snap-on website.

All I was saying is that all the tape measure's that Snap-on sells under the "Snap-on" name are Chinese made whether it was alltrade or another company.

Regardless of where it was sold, it still has the "Snap-on" name on it.

I just threw the tape measure at Northerntool out there to be funny.

It was the first time I ever saw anything from Snap-on being sold anywhere other than the truck or their site.
