I got a new Werner 22 ft, 375 pound capacity (per side of the step ladder setup), multipurpose ladder yesterday. It's up there with my miter saw and cordless drill in the "why didn't I do this years ago?" category. I also have the smallest, 250 pound version, but this new one is a beast. It's so stable and lets me get where I need to be safely. The locks and latches are very smooth and easy to operate. Worth every penny.

I think I’ve got the same one from 15 years ago. I got it on a Black Friday Lowe’s sale for $50. I’ve managed to use it a few times but every time I end up cursing the thing and fetching one of my more useful ladders I also bought at BF sales over the years. My buddy borrowed it and I’m not pest. To get it back either.
If all you can have is one this guy suffices I suppose. For use with a work truck on the job site , maybe . The fact it’s such a beast to Lug around still makes me wonder though . It reminds me of the Russian navy, does everything but none of it so great. My two best words for it are HEAVY. AWKWARD. Different strokes for different folks I guess....

I have enough ladders but none as heavy and strong as yours. I'm afraid of heights and my lower capacity ones feel flimsy, even though they are adequate in capacity.

Reminds me that I would like a higher capacity one like yours just to have a more steady and secure feel.

I agree that they are heavy and troublesome to use. If that’s your only ladder it’s fine but I found it’s easy to get the straight extension ladder to clean the gutters and get in the roof. I’m waiting to set it up with planks to act as scaffolding. I have the Gorilla version.

Even the smallest one is heavier than the 24’ extension ladder.

I finally used mine the other day to get up into the attic. I felt very secure and safe getting down, so it was worth moving that big heavy thing around every time it gets in the way. I bought it some years back on black Friday too. I have smaller/lighter ladders that I use more often.

I have a little giant that I use to get stuff to and from the kitchen loft. I don't use it a lot though as others have mentioned though be cause it's heavy to move around and unfold.

I may try using it as a platform next time I need one.

I have one, it's very good. We use it in high stairways, often running a plank to it for removing and hanging wallpaper. Once you get the hang of setting it up and positioning it properly it is a great ladder to have.
