Made in Germany for WT Grant/ Grant's department stores. I don't know much about the store but probably lots of info out there. Their tools came from different sources like other big stores.

3bay,

Any further info on WT Grants tools? I found a thread talking about the store but nothing on the sockets. Pictured is two 3/8" drive 9/16 & 3/4 sockets I found at the flea market. Seem decently constructed. No country of origin marking.1000026410.jpg1000026411.jpg

Just stumbled across this thread, right after I stumbled across this Grants screwdriver. In really nice condition, too. No country of origin, though.

!!!!! Looks like you nailed it, and really quickly too. Thanks, now I can sleep tonight!
Looks like Model E33. Interesting that Grant's didn't adopt some version of that same part number.
I'd forgotten that Great Neck made some decent tools a while back; their more recent stuff seems pretty junky to me.

I have a few Great Neck examples and also Happy Home, which have a different color scheme.

Happy Home was a Woolworth brand name.
Thanks, Mintgrun! I hadn't heard of Happy Home tools. I'm curious - do the part number systems for the 2 stores resemble each other at all?

The Happy Home drivers are both marked G-126. I don't see that on the list above.

I didn't make the Woolworth connection until I noticed the name on a package of rubber feet I bought at Habitat and on the back side it says Woolworth Woolco.
