Ice tongs! Brings back memories. When I helped my Pop on his milk truck, in the mid-1950's my job was to ice down the milk crates every summer morning at the local ice plant. He'd buy a couple of large pieces of ice, carry them out to the truck using tongs just like that one, and I'd go to work on them in the back of the milk truck, chipping them into small pieces, and putting the pieces on top the milk bottles.
