They are made by an asian tool supplier, some of the older Westward used to be made in the USA, and Europe, but now 99% of it is made in either of the chinas. (Is it still 2 or have they finally agreed to become one again).

I personally stay away from them, as they are over priced for an Import. Some of the Millwrights have them where I work and they seem to be alright. The better line of stuff to buy at ACKLANDS/GRAINGER is the Proto lines or the Klein lines.
