I picked up this set at local pawn shop for 50 out the door.https://www.grainger.com/product/WESTWARD-Standard-4YR25?functionCode=P2IDP2PCP
4YR25_AS01

Seems to be fair quality, but in a convenient to use case for field use. What say you, friends?

I'm not familiar with westward wrenches but at work wr have a couple westward socket sets. High quality Taiwan tools. If the wrenches are of similar quality I'm sure you'll be happu.

We have some westward wrenches and socket sets at work. Comparable to Craftsman. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. Not sure I'd pay $50 for that set, but you didn't get a bad deal.

Even at discounted rates, they are absolutely over-priced for what they are. It's quite outrageous how much they sell them to their members. In some cases, you can find the same thing in brand X for a fraction of the price.

They're ok quality Taiwanese tools at a good quality USA tool price. We have tons of Westward at work, but no raised panel combination wrenches. All of it is mediocre, but I have seen worse.

Just Grainger house brand, right?

Not exactly. Westward is its own brand and their stuff is available from several distributors, especially outside the US. I don't think Grainger has an exclusive on US distribution but I could be wrong. Grainger was the first and is probably the largest distributor in the US so people mistake it for a Grainger house brand. It is basically marketed as such.

Got it, thanks. I guess they succeeded with me, at least until now. Regrettably for them, it makes me no more likely to buy them.
