Wet epoxy patches on floor ????? Help

Hey guys I got some issues with my epoxy on my garage floor. It has been 36hrs so far since I poured it on. I used 2 pails of epoxy masters product in one area I got a few small tacky patches seem to not be curing????? I was told to scrap the soft epoxy off and lightly sand it and then put more epoxy down over the patch. What you guys think??? Any info or help would be great!!!!!

Did you consult the mfg?
It sounds like a scraper and a gallon of xylol will be useful.

Talk to the mfg as they are the final authority.

Yes I talked with the mfg they say to scrap the area lightly scuff and then put new epoxy on the area. I have tried this today on one area will see in morning if it is hard starting to cure?? I sure hope. Just not really sure what to us on the floor to get the stickiness off after I scrap the old epoxy??

Ok guys an update I just when to check my one patch this morning I did yesterday and it is dry not tacky. So I guess it must of been the product from the first pail wasn't mixed fully and there must of been no hardener on the top cause that is were we first poured a little of the pail out. So I will be doing the rest of my patches this way and all should be good. The nice part about the fleck is that it helps to hide the patch.

Out of curiosity, did you scrape all of the epoxy out of the mixing bucket when you applied it? Many times the epoxy at the bottom and sides of the bucket or container is not mixed fully. If it's scraped clean to get all you can from the mixing bucket it can create small areas where it does not cure. It's best to just pour it out and not worry about what sticks to the sides.

No I didn't scrape the bucket at all. I was thinking of it when I dumped the first bucket that I had nothing to scrape the bucket clean with LOL. I guess good think I never did that or I would have more issues. Well I got all my patches fixed up there is no more tacky parts. It is nice cause the fleck helps hide any imperfections
