Hi. We have converted our garage into a bedroom about six years ago.
The floors are tiled. There are two beds in the room. Recently I noticed that under and between the beds was wet. No water flowing, but more than damp. It may have been happening for a while, but I attributed to spilled water. I did notice dampness at the edge of the wall a couple of months ago. I live in Staten Island NY and it has been raining a lot this summer. Another important point is that the sewer is walled off in the garage, from the bedroom. I am worried if it is sewer water. How can I be sure what it is. Picture included is the wall between bedroom and sewer area. Also the door in the center leads to that area, but it is closed up with plexiglass and silicon. The left door is a closet and the floor was completely dry. . One more thing- the floor level is a few inches higher than the walk-in level basement . Thanks.
