Wetzler Clamp question

I am sorting through my late husband's tools and found a Wetzler Clamp Co. clamp in wonderful shape. However, there are two errors in the casting of the letters so that Clamp says Clam and Long Island City says Ong Island City. Are there any tool experts out there that know if this is something that happens once in a while during production or this is perhaps a rare thing?
This is my first time posting and I'm sure I will be back with other questions as I start sorting tools in the workshop. Thanks so very much for your input!

Those are highly regarded clamps. I have a dozen or so and a couple are missing letters as well. May have been a casting flaw during the productions process, not uncommon from what I have seen.

We have recently seen examples of Wetzler clamps on which the letters/numbers were not all clearly forged in production.

They are, as @gearheadglen has noted, apparently highly prized by woodworkers.

But yes, Wetzler made high quality clamps bearing their name for the company's lifetime. I've not heard of them downgrading the quality to save money, like many other brands.

They are in my occasional search terms, in case I ever find any local to me. Too cheap to pay for shipping.

If they are all 6”, the shipping may not be bad. You could put them in the. Classifieds here once you get a few more posts, but may require mailing them,

Craigslist or FB market place should make the mailing hassle go down, but the flake / troll factor may go up by 50% or more.

How many do you have? If just a handful, great. If a huge box, you might want to offer in lots of 2 or 4, rather than selling the whole lot, but again, there is a value / hassle factor to weigh.

Edit: Oops, just reread, clamp. Local might be best, but many people like to get them in pairs
