Rotary. Customer service is excellent, love the quality of their lifts and I see them in more shops than any other brand. Not saying anything bad about other brands just my opinion. I bought one for home and love it.

Maybe it's a regional thing, but the only 2 post lifts in any of the shops near me, small shops to dealerships, are all 'Challenger' branded. They've worked just fine for what I've used them, but I've not ever used any others to compare them to.

When price isn't a concern (like commercial shops spending the bank's money), there's a reason they chose rotary. Its the one all the other ones are compared to. :D

When I was getting mine installed, the guys installing it did have some thing to say about the other brands. These guys sell and install a few different ones. He said the rotary design with the hydraulics under the carriages and lifting them up was more better than the forward lift with the hydraulics over the carriages and pulling them up.

If cost isn‘t a concern then Mohawk is the clear choice. They’re the best - period. When price is a concern my first choice is a used Mohawk which is what I have. After that I’d choose US made Rotary, then Challenger, and probably Bendpak as the last choice I’d make. A lift should be expensive - don’t skimp on life support equipment.

The run of the mill 2 post lifts largely use the same design and components. The only one truly different is Mowhawk. They are built hell for stout too!

12k Rotary have been about the best I have used personally. Neusbaum makes a nice hoist also. I don't think I am willing to drop $10K+ for one in my personal shop, we'll see.

Rotary at school, Bendpak at home. I like both, and probably only two I would look at if buying new. Mohawk for sure, but too much money new.
I absolutely would not go cheap.

I've worked under a lot of 2 post hoists over my 35 year career, Rotary is a solid brand, good lifts and service/parts availability worldwide.

I've seen garages have to buy new lifts as they can't get parts anymore!!!

The rubber lift pads and extensions for trucks and vans are really nice too

Curious, does Benpak still have issues with its customer service? I seem to remember people having issues getting parts (prior to 2020).

After a month of research the 2 post lift I'll buy is an Eagle lift EAGTIA_MTP-9C Eagle is in North Carolina. The lift is made overseas. I learned about this lift from a retired race team owner (Porsche) that raced Daytona, Sebring, the Glen etc., and he had this brand in his shop with no issues in 20 years of use.
It is $2695 plus shipping to a truck line warehouse where the customer makes plans to pick it up. The customer installs it or hires somebody to do it. According to the sales rep., the lift comes with 6 legs. It can be changed from an asymetrical to a symetrical lift. 4 inch height. 220 volt 2 HP motor.

I priced the Challenger lifts that are a Snap On company. The SO truck or the SO 800 number customer service cannot order the Challenger lifts. That goes through Challenger sales and distributors. I checked out two different lifts. One was USA made CL10V3 and the other was foreign made VLE10. They were $5954 and $4549 plus $350 adapters and shipping. I like the Challenger brand. My local garage has them.

I also priced out a Nussbaum lift. They are also USA made and are just like the German made ones. I liked the SPL 8000, an 8000# lift for $6875 plus shipping. A friend has one and it's been in use daily for 20+ years. I like it too.

The Eagle lift price plus an acquaintance who used his professionally is why I'm choosing the Eagle. This will be used by a hobbyist and used 15 - 20 times a year. A higher end commercial lift that is faster etc isn't needed.
